David Lee Root Jr. Memorial Fishing Tournament
TOURNAMENT RULES
1. Catch fish and have a great time for a great cause.
2. Entry fee $50 per person. Minimum 2 fisherman per boat. You cannot come back with more “fishermen” than you left with!
3. LIVE WEIGH-IN- State fishing laws and Coast Guard rules apply – DEAD FISH=NO FISH.
4. Team may measure two (2) redfish and one (1) snapper. Total length of three (3) will determine winner and prize slot. Tie will be by high card draw.
5. Weigh in starts at 11:00 a.m. All boats must be within sight of the D & D canal for final weigh in no later than 3:30 p.m.
6. Honor start- lines in @ 7am
7. Wading is allowed.
8. No fishing permitted within 1000 feet of D & D Matlacha Bait & Tackle or any other marina.
9. All teams must be represented at Captain’s meeting by a team member.
10. If all else fails, remember ‘DAVID’S MEMORY WILL LIVE ON” and continue through the Trauma Unit which serves everyone in Lee County.
